ReWoven
________________________________________My family once wove rugs in the desert. So when the opportunity arose to collaborate with London rug traders, it became more than a project, it became a way to weave together stories of migration, memory, and making.
In this series, imported handwoven rugs, deemed too worn for resale are reimagined through future craft techniques. Layering traditional craftsmanship with digital and industrial processes, the rugs are embedded with imagery drawn from the architecture and industry surrounding their new home.
Bridging ancient and modern worlds, each piece reflects the journey of objects, and the people who carry them across time, culture, and place.
