ReWoven

________________________________________

This project traces the layered histories of migration found in Park Royal, where communities, objects, and industries intersect. Traditional handwoven rugs, rich with cultural memory, are repaired and reimagined using tools and materials from the area’s industrial surroundings. By combining inherited craft with contemporary technologies, the work reflects how local identities are continually reshaped—where the movement of people and things gives rise to new forms, meanings, and shared ground. Commissioned by OPDC and developed with over 80 local residents.
