Industrial Age explores how ornament survives as objects, cultures and methods of production evolve. Engraved with patterns drawn from decorative vessels spanning multiple cultures and periods, each vase combines the language of historical craftsmanship with the precision of contemporary industrial manufacture. Rather than reproducing historical artefacts, the work considers how decorative traditions are continually translated, adapted and reinterpreted through new technologies and contexts. Familiar motifs migrate across time and geography, accumulating new meanings while retaining traces of their origins. The series reflects on ornament not as a fixed cultural language, but as a living archive shaped by exchange, production and memory.
