This series of engraved bolts transforms mass-produced hardware into carriers of cultural meaning. Using ornamental motifs sourced from architectural details and craft traditions, each bolt is etched to reveal a tension between utility and embellishment. By inscribing decoration onto objects typically hidden or overlooked, the work invites us to reconsider the role of ornament in industrial design—and to see even the smallest components as sites of memory, identity, and care.
