GoodWaste explored how industrial surplus could become a resource for contemporary interiors. Working with retailers, manufacturers and local businesses, the studio transformed discarded materials into furniture, lighting and architectural objects without concealing their previous lives. Rather than treating waste as a limitation, each object embraced variation, demonstrating that reuse could produce work with greater richness, individuality and narrative than standardised manufacturing. The studio challenged conventional ideas of value by positioning discarded materials as the starting point for thoughtful design. In doing so, it offered a practical model for circular production rooted in local making.
